No reviews

A warm, fudgy single-serve chocolate chip cookie made in a mug with no butter. Fast, simple, and full of gooey chocolate, it’s perfect for on-the-go dessert or late-night cravings.

  • Total Time: 8
  • Yield: 1 cookie 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Microwave a mug or small ramekin for 30 seconds on high to warm it up. This helps the cookie stick less and cook more evenly.
Combine the flour, white sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in the mug.
Add the vegetable oil and vanilla extract. Stir until a thick batter forms.
Stir in the chocolate chips until well-distributed.
Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for 1 and 1/2 to 2 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly but mostly cooked.
Let sit for 1 minute before digging in.

Notes

Use a microwave-safe mug or ramekin.
For a softer cookie, cook for 1 and 1/2 minutes.
Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
