- 6–8 ice cubes
- Optional: 1/2 to 1 teaspoon honey
- Optional: pinch of sea salt

- Strain out seeds and pulp if desired.
- Measure 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Fill a tall glass with 6 to 8 ice cubes.
- Pour the fresh lemon juice over the ice.
- Add 1 cup filtered water to the glass.
- Measure exactly 1/2 teaspoon food-grade baking soda.
- Add the baking soda slowly to the glass and let it fizz.
- Stir gently for 5 to 10 seconds to distribute the baking soda.
- Add honey if you prefer sweetness and stir until dissolved.
- Add a small pinch of sea salt if desired.
- Give the drink one final gentle stir.
- Serve immediately while the fizz is fresh.
- Consume within 5 to 10 minutes for best carbonation.
Notes
Use baking soda, not baking powder. Fresh lemon juice gives the best flavor and fizz, and the drink should be made fresh instead of prepared ahead.
